The CYBA Code of Ethics is a cornerstone of the yacht brokerage community, worldwide. We are very proud of our Code of Ethics and require that all members abide by them. CYBA members are yacht brokers you can count on.

Not all yacht brokers are CYBA members. CYBA members have demonstrated a higher lever of knowledge and maintain rigid professional standards within the boating community.

The CYBA provides its members with the most comprehensive set of contracts being used in the yacht brokerage industry today. They are a culmination of many years of research and improvements. They protect all parties in a yacht transaction with a clear format and limit your liabilities.

CYBA brokers are respected by and work closely with peer organizations in the Northwest, Florida and the Yacht Brokers Association of America. Nurturing a harmonious and symbiotic relationship with them allows our members to cooperate vessel listings between us with greater ease. This improves the opportunities that vessels are sold quickly for a good value.

The CYBA has a website that features our Code of Ethics, explains the Arbitration & Grievance process, and all members are listed in the member directory for the public to access easily. It also provides helpful advice about the buying and selling of a boat or yacht.

The CYBA offers the finest Arbitration & Grievance process/service in the industry and serves as the model that other organizations have patterned their arbitration process after. Problems rarely occur, but when they do it is good to know that knowledgeable fair minds are available to assist with a resolution.

All brokers are encouraged to participate in the various continuing education programs sponsored by the CYBA. Issues involve the Department of Boating and Waterways, legal aspects, taxation procedures, ethics counseling and more.

All CYBA member brokers use secure escrow/trust accounts to hold and keep your transaction funds safe until the closing and disbursement. There is never a need to worry about safety of your funds. Disbursements are never made by a CYBA yacht broker without your authorization.
