Dorothy has enjoyed being in the marine industry since 1987 with experience in financing, insurance, office managing, marketing, service department, as well as her current and favorite job of selling new and pre-owned power and sailboats. Her goal is to make your yacht buying or selling experience a pleasant one, and to create a long term relationship, rather than a one time deal. When not working with clients who are looking for boats, she enjoys raising her twin teenage daughters, concerts at Humphreys in the dinghy, sailing and powerboating!.

Jim and Doris Maxwell of New Mexico recently purchased a very clean Freedom 32 to take on the Baja Haha. While Jim has been a sailor for awhile, this was a new adventure for Doris. Working with Dorothy Allen of So Cal Yacht Sales, they looked at several boats. Doris actually found the right boat online and they made an offer sight unseen, contingent upon them liking what they saw when they came to town. They liked it and completed the purchase. They report they had a very nice trip down on the Baja Haha and are glad to have had the experience. Fair winds, Jim and Doris!
